Beyond the ordinary

Karinne van Dijkhuizen started her writing career as a blogger and editor.  She had edited various books, including various anthologies and novels.  She is also an author in her own right and has written the historical novel ‘Laddering Jacobs’  as well as a book of short stories, ‘Beyond the Surface’, under her pen name C.I. Ripples. 

She considers herself a Global Citizen, having lived all over the world, which allowed her not only to absorb many cultural experiences, but also to study their languages, history and customs.  A graduate of Oxford University, where she read Modern History, she has also attained degrees in psychology, business and law.  Although History remains her passion, her thirst for the unattainable – understanding – is never ending, although History remains her passion.

Diana Davis. -Now in her 60’s, she has finally given up the day job to write full-time—for the third time. Opportunities to help deliver healthcare systems around the world kept arising and proved impossible to refuse. She treated those years as research, gaining knowledge and inspiration for her writing. Living in Singapore, India, Bangkok and Phuket and now returning to the UK, has provided a wealth of vivid images of lifestyles and cultures very different from those of the Western world. Yet wherever she has lived, she has found that people are simply people and not so very different. Without these experiences, the tapestry of her life would be threadbare.

She grew up in West Yorkshire in the North of England, the only child of a Polish father and an English mother, and has always been an avid reader. Winning a writing competition at nine and completing a first book at ten encouraged her to keep writing. After publishing her father’s biography—an account of his experiences under the Nazi regime during the Second World War— she published her first book in 2015. She has also written the 'Spicy books series' she always dreamed of in the erotic romantic genre under the pen name Sacha Quinn.

 She has also contributed several short stories and anthologies in books published by The Phuket Writers Group, later known as Spilt Ink Writers

His preferences in literature lean towards thrillers, crime and the military.

Karen Naylor has been helping authors and academics, arranging events and workshops since 2011. She loves everything writerly, and is a huge supporter of those she has helped over the years. 

She has an MA in Writing for Performance and a BA (Hons) in Creative Writing and Identity and is a member of The Society of Authors, RNA, SCBWI NE and GEA.
